How the openED course has been compared to similar UN activities 11/02/2011 14:46 Karma: 5
There has been some criticism recently that the overall UN system is not practicing what it preaches. Such criticisms have been partly linked to the launch of the UNESCO's OER platform (launched officially yesterday - though I couldn't find a link to the platform).

At one point I stumbled across a blog post that takes our openED course as a positive example for UN activities, as well as reflecting quite well on our underlying motivations and goals for this course.

The blog post concludes with: "This sort of decentralization of educational activities is an innovation to watch."

The blog post might be of interest to fellow educators or colleagues from the UN system. It is available at: community.elearners.com/all_blogs/the_elearners_news_blog/b/elearnersnews/archive/2011/10/31/one-course-many-providers.aspx
